After two years of much action and deep reflection, we are proud to release "Adventure's in Nest-Building (Or, How to support place-based youth-organizing)", our project report about what we have learned about supporting youth-led organizing in Ontario.
Last week, we told you about the renewed purpose and outcomes that YSI is bringing into the Spring. In today’s Part 2, we’d like to share the projects that are carrying this work forward.
Over the next few months, members of our community will be leading an effort to integrate Anishinaabemowin Traditional Governance teachings into YSI's work. Here Jon Cada, a collaborator and YSI member from Mississauga First Nation near Blind River, ON, offers up a bit of his story that brings him to this point.
With the summer sun shining down, YSI is already busy gearing up for our Fall Stakeholder Gathering on October 28-30, while our Developmental Evaluation continues onwards. Our coordinator Chris Lee has all your updates here.
