YSI receives Inspirit Pluralism Grant

We are really excited to share some news! Together with SKETCH, we are one of 15 recipients of the Inspirit Foundation's Pluralism Grant. We have been awarded $25,000 for a new initiative called Young Spirit Circles to help young organizers and innovators from diverse communities build inclusive relationships.

We will bring together place-based organizations in four localities across Ontario to create mutual understanding of ancestral heritage, inclusion and pluralism. Experienced practitioners and Indigenous elders from our community-based partners will work with local stakeholders to develop and host these youth-led gatherings. We are excited to announce so far that we will be deepening our work with some of our lovely community members at Thinking Rock Community Arts, The New Mentality and Children's Peace Theatre

There's lots of work ahead to make this project a reality in the New Year. In the meantime, do you want to get an inside track on how you can host a gathering in your community? Please join us at Collaboration Camp from Nov. 28-30, where you can take part in some of our initial strategizing -- not to mention in-depth relationship building with inspiring leaders in youth-led change and hands-on sessions that will refuel your change efforts.

The registration deadline is next Thursday, Nov. 13th. Join us!

We appreciate the support of the Inspirit Foundation to do this much needed work to 'scale deep' so we can 'scale out' together. You can read more about their granting program that makes this possible here
